# 6 months of prepaid rent

Im new to stessa and am a first time landlord. I live in a college town and rent to students. Its different but for my future tenants June 2, 2022-June 2, 2023 they pay per semester.

So I received back in January, $2225 x 6.

Im not sure how to account for the 13,350 as a monthly rent within the software.

I read about the split, then listing it as a transfer. So I split 6 ways, each payment is “due on the second” and I already added them as transfers and the one for June as a rental payment.

Does it automatically flip from transfer to rental or do I have manually do it?
