# Bonus depreciation flag for capital expenses

Despite being correctly classified as Capital Expenses, transactions or line items for less than the $2,500 de minimus threshold may be fully deducted in the year of expense. By adding a flag for this classification in the Capital Expense window, this transaction can be clearly identified for receiving different tax treatment.

@michael This can actually be accomplished rather easily with the existing Capital Expenses tools. You can select “1 year” for the Useful Life designation as a reminder to yourself (or your CPA) to treat it differently. Does that work?
