We’d love to see more detailed permission controls for collaborators. Right now, access can only be limited by portfolio, which is helpful, but not always flexible enough. It would be a huge improvement to allow restrictions at the tab level (for example, only allowing access to the Transactions tab).
Use Case:
When working with bookkeepers, accountants, or assistants, we often only want them to access and edit one section of the platform—like transactions—without seeing reports, documents, or sensitive owner-level details. Fine-tuning this access would make collaboration safer and more streamlined.
Feature Suggestions:
- Set permissions by tab (e.g., Transactions only, Reports only, etc.)
- Maintain the current portfolio-based access structure, but allow granular control within it
- Add Google Docs-style live activity indicators, so you can see when a collaborator is active and working in the system
- Include optional weekly or monthly activity summaries showing what each collaborator has viewed, added, or changed (e.g., edited transactions, uploaded documents, etc.)
This would be a major upgrade for teams and property owners who need to delegate specific tasks while maintaining control and visibility.
