# Security deposit not showing on Balance Sheet/Short Term Liabilities

How do you get your security deposits and other short term liabilities to show up on your balance sheet report? I have entered the security deposit in the property/tenant info, and I’m not sure how else to enter that information.

@jarom.gunderson Good question. You should be able to do this by tracking receipt of the Security Deposit funds via your [Transactions page](https://app.stessa.com/transactions). The input on the [Leases & Tenants page](https://app.stessa.com/web/leases) creates a charge on the tenant ledger for tracking purposes, but it does not create a record of the funds actually being received. One of my properties is not creating a charge when I input in a security deposit? For some reason other properties are computing as you described but not this property.
