It would be super helpful to have a simple way to keep track of: when the oven was purchased, when the roof was replaced, how old the water heater is, etc.

Agree - would be great to have all the information on each major fixed asset - appliances, water heaters, roofs, etc. Include install date, brand, model, warranty info, cost, installer, useful life, etc. This would be amazing.
Bumping, would like to be able to record the current major appliances info and history of repairs/replacement
