New account connection

I just connected to my bank. We have 4 accounts there which I access. Only one handles the day to day business stuff. That is the ONLY one I want connected. Stessa has connected all four and imported transactions from all four back to 2023. It has also deleted all my transaction categories! How am I ever going to rectify all this???

This should be an easy fix. Simply visit your Settings > Connected Accounts page and set the other 3 bank accounts to “Exclude from Stessa” by clicking on the pencil icon and then changing the “Import Preference.” This will automatically remove all transactions imported from those 3 accounts from your Stessa Transactions page.

Some bigger banks provide an option on the front end of the linking process to select which accounts to import, but most banks do not yet provide us with this more advanced setup flow.

As for categories, Stessa does not import your bank-defined categories one for one. Stessa’s categories are pre-defined for rental property owners and operators. We have logic in place to auto-categorize wherever possible, but some manual categorization is typically required when linking any new data source.
