My tenants pay early so when the transaction hits it is usually a few days before the 1st.
This really make the dashboard look funky as it is putting sometimes 2 rent transactions in the same month.
The current workaround is that I change the early transaction date to the first of the month. Be great if the system just knew what month the most recent payment is for, and to classify it as such for reporting and dashboard purposes. Or, in the rent transaction enable the ability to tag it to August, even though the transaction hit on July 25th.

…though, I know its a blessing when a tenant pays early, but it does throw off the books! I think this is a great idea. In general, I wish I had a way to create other tags, too (like “1099” for example)!
