I couldn’t find an answer on this. My mortgage payments on my rental houses are due on the first of the month, and I usually pay them a few days before the 1st of the month (in the previous month). My rent payments usually don’t show up in my account until after the 1st of the month. This shows throws off the monthly accounting sometimes.
Can I manually change the date of my mortgage payments or would that cause any other issues. For example, I think if I just change the transaction date from my bank account import from say February 25th to March 1st, then it would show that I made a mortgage payment and collected my rent payment in March and would show a more accurate representation of how income, expenses, cashflow etc. should look each month.
