I need a breakdown by unit, not just property for my capital expenses. This is because I live in my own units, and I need to be able to deduct on a percentage basis each year.
Currently, I have to add the unit to the transaction notes manually, just because this data isn’t supplied. The data is there, it just needs to be shown on the capital expenses report among other places.
@kxpm.llc Good catch and great suggestion for house hackers. Do you move between units? Otherwise I’d suggest recording the capital expense as a percentage for the rental units (i.e. 75% for the other 3 units).
