Additional principal pay down not showing up as expected in reports

I am paying additional principal on mortgage, which is a voluntary decision, using excess free cashflow from property. Stessa seems to add that to my mortgage payment, which distorts CoC return and inflates expenses artificially.

Is there a way to tag that so that those things are addressed? My return should not be affected based on how i spend my return…

sorry if i’ve missed this somewhere in the forums or help areas.

@craigcroone Well, voluntary principal pay down is still principal pay down, which is why it’s included in the Principal Payment line on your Net Cash Flow report. We understand that some investors like to think of these payments more like “savings” than expenses, and so we also show a separate line on the Net Cash Flow report with the entire principal payment added back to the NCF line. Hope that works for you!
