I gave my tenant a discount and I tried to edit that specific month’s rent amount, but it forces me to edit the entire rent amount instead of just that one month’s payment dues.
How can I edit individual month rent dues, or how can I show occasional discounts on rent?
@jtgpropertiesllc You’ll want to simply issue a “Credit” to this tenant for the amount of the discount. You can do this via your tenant ledger. Just click “More” and then “Add a Credit.”
I want to add a credit to the rent for work that the tenant did on the house. Stessa asks me to categorize the credit, but when I look at my year end report for net cash flow by month, I’d expect to see the credit show up in the report as a charge to me. for example, say the tenant painted the house, and I give them credit on the rent and classify it as a painting, why doesn’t this credit show up on the report? it doesn’t show in the GL report either.
