Problems with Stessa

Tried to onboard and send rent –

1.) unable to change the property address
2.) told that I was not a fit with the platform because I am a commercial landlord
3.) unable to reach someone on the phone
4.) chat representatives changed across all 3 responses and did not address any of my questions
5.) requested info on a free trial of premium so I could test the phone support. Ignored and not given any instructions on how to sign up

How does anyone actually use this? Shocked my conscious with how bad this experience was

  1. Property Address Issue: I’ll work with our support team to ensure addresses are updated when necessary. Stessa will verify property addresses using Google and Zillow. However, occasionally, incorrect addresses may be obtained.

  2. Commercial Landlord Fit: Our platform is currently specialized for residential properties, and I apologize if this wasn’t communicated clearly from the start.

  3. Phone Support: I understand the importance of being able to speak with someone directly, and I’m sorry you couldn’t reach us by phone. Stessa Customer Success is a small team and Phone support is only available by appointment and to Stessa Pro subscribers.

  4. Chat Support: It’s unacceptable that your inquiries weren’t properly addressed and that you experienced inconsistency with our chat representatives. We’ll review this internally to prevent it from happening again.

  5. Premium Trial: I apologize for the lack of response regarding the premium trial.

@mikecofone I understand that Stessa was created with the small, residential landlord in mind. However, I don’t see why it couldn’t work for your situation. When you say commercial, do you mean nonresidential or larger multifamily?

Stessa is a barely functional app with support that is equally terrible. No enterprise landlord can use this app. The opportunity to talk to me and earn my business is long gone.

My buildings are residential and non-residential with lease terms that the creators of Stessa probably would not comprehend. I have moved on from considering Stessa and anyone taking property ownership seriously and growing a large portfolio should as well
