I still dont have a solution to these connection issues. It would be a real pain to have to move my entire portfolio to a new platform but I am seriously considering it given the instability of the bank connections. I am now going on 4 weeks without being able to update my main business checking connection. Unacceptable way for managing bookkeeping.
Devin - To confirm, are you suggesting to disconnect from all bank connections and upload csv file manually? Given itâs tax season, I cannot wait for the âbroken connectionsâ issue to be fixed. And will it ever be fixed because as you stated the connections rely on third-party aggregators?
Yes, I think heâs suggesting we manually import. My connection has been broken for over 2 months with no progress and minimal response, so Iâve resorted to manual imports. Itâs honestly pretty easy but diminishes the value of the platform and I havenât been offered a discount or solution otherwise.

Same bank connection issues and yes a Real Problem. I only had an initial download in February, then none since, I did a manual download but only partial transactions came through. I unfortunately will have to look at a different software/PM company to work with. Stessa was a complete help until this problem-Boohoo.
My transactions have not worked since November. There is no longer a âchat,â option on my main page. How do I get help? Something has changed, either with my bank or with Stessa, not sure which. The connection dialog is very different from what it was, looks like a new provider for Stessa.
It is mid May, I have taxes to complete and the platform I have relied on for a few years is now very broken. So many transactions missing, and I just found a flaw that deleted an entire page of transactions, when I only wanted to delete ONE. Nice!
I have enjoyed Stessa and would like to continue. I can muddle through the missing transactions from '24, but seven months of missing transactions?
Your best bet at this point is going to be to manually load the transactions. Youâll have to export the transactions from your bank amount then import into stessa transactions tab. Itâs actually fairly easy once you figure it out, although not as convenient as the automated process.
Im in the same situation - linked bank transactions dont download, but for one 1of my several accounts. Itâs very inconsistent. It also appears Stessa uses moneykit.com now as the 3rd party aggregator, not plaid. So, I am guessing the new provider is the weak link. Stessa may have switched for umpteen reasons but the fact of the matter is that all of this used to work really really well, at least 3 years prior because that was my experience. Now, itâs been broken for many paying customers (for many months, at that) and it doesnât appear to be improving. I hate to say it but it may be time for me to get thru 2024 taxes and start looking for a new platform. ugh!
I have been facing issues since the start of June connecting to my bank. As a result, I am having a difficult time tracking things. The connection seems to succeed but then suddenly the next time I log in, I have to âfixâ the connection again. And none of the transactions are showing up in the transaction page even the summary in the âconnected accountsâ page says all the transactions were imported. This seems like a mess. I am going to see if thereâs a way to manually pull in the accounts.
Chase is one of the biggest banks in the country and even that isnât importing correctly no matter how many times I update my login details or refresh my accounts.
I am having problems with Bank of America accounts as well. It didnât fix after the new aggregator. I may have to leave the platform as well. So much hassle!
I have also not been able to sync with Bof since June. The virual assistance is not leading me in the right direction. Anyone have any ideas on what can be done? I would be GREATLY appreciated.

For whatever reason, my transactions stopped importing in May 2025, only for my bank. Iâm afraid to manually import them because I donât know what will happen if the accounts start syncing again. Will I have double entries?
Note to the Product Manager - It appears you guys are using mastercard to aggregate. (Iâve never seen this aggregator before on any of the other services I use). If people are having this many issues, and the diversity of financial institutions needing to be supported is cited as the issue, you should strongly consider using a better aggregator service. e.g. Plaid. Also some KB articles on this might deflect some of these complaints. You offer a way to manually import them but I cant find any docs on what happens if you manually import and account starts syncing again so I donât feel comfortable with the manual import solution. I do feel your pain because I had to support these type issues in a previous corporate role. However, at the end of the day people will stop using your product because of widespread unresolved issues like this. I appreciate your consideration.

I paid for Pro and would expect better service delivery for paying customers. I donât understand why Stessa doesnât use Plaid which has been working fine for my other services connecting to BofA.
