After dealing with a costly eviction this year, I wanted to share the importance of properly screening renters. The U.S. Census Bureau reported over 4.4 million renters across the US are “very likely” to face eviction. Brokers screen tenants manually making it hard to properly verify information and it takes way too long. At the end of the day, brokers are only incentivized to deliver a tenant as fast as possible, even if they aren’t truly qualified. 13% of rental applicants contain fraudulent information. That’s a problem!
