When Splitting an item if the original dollar amount can be nested in the Amount column. If you have a receipt with X and splitting it to n multiple times it would be alot easier to find by searching for the receipt dollar amount.

Or just incorporate a split feature similar to Quicken where you can split a transaction, but it shows up as the original amount of the transaction along with an icon alerting you that the transaction was split. This seems like a really basic feature you see in most any personal finance app. You can also add a drop-down carrot that, when clicked on, exposes the split and shows the splits and expense categories.
I have the same issue. The split divides evenly - there isn’t a way to post 33% to one property, 61% to a different property, and the remainder to a third property. This comes up for us constantly.
