Tax preparation (TFX) files

I realize there are multiple possible tax prep software to use out there, but certainly a very large number of us leverage TurboTax (H&B needed for rental props). Thus to my surprise to not see a single mention of this anywhere on this forum…
Bottom line, a MAJOR enhancement would be to include a TFX file export option. I am looking into some online options now for CSV>TFX and they seem to all be dedicated around stocks, etc.

There is also some irony in that Stessa will import QIF, QFX & OFX files, yet not export them. While it would be a bit more work (and potentially pointless, read on…), one could theoretically import transactions into Quicken, etc and then create TXF files. However, this would more or less be redundant to the entire purpose for leveraging Stessa and cause duplicate efforts.

I completely agree. How can a “tax package” not contain TFX file?! Major shortcoming…

Yeah. I use Stessa for my rental property bookkeeping. I am using TurboTax for tax filing and I was where I could import .TFX for schedule Es, so I thought, hey I’ll go subscribe to the Stessa Tax Package to get those… But then I see it’s not offered. That would seem to be a big draw to their Tax Package.
