I see transaction notifications when I log in, and I believe I’ve seen one or two notifications for other menu tabs, but when there is a problem with Stessa connecting to your bank account…nothing. No notifications UNTIL you get to the Connected Accounts page. I was searching for help for a month (forums and help chat) with no luck (this even resulted in me manually importing the transactions, which caused me a big headache by creating duplicate transactions for the past 4 months).
At the very least, if Stessa can alert you on the main menu to other issues that need addressed, it can certainly alert users to banking problems.
